Nicholas Olsen

Nicholas Olsen is a Welsh composer whose music responds to the world around us, a practice rooted in socio-political inquiry that he explored during his doctoral research at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. His work ranges from solo miniatures to orchestral pieces and his music has been performed around the world by leading ensembles and musicians including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the RSNO, Ensemble Modern, and Seoul National University Ensemble.

In addition to being a busy composer, Nicholas is also a dedicated teacher, music copyist, and arts administrator.

Nicholas is published by Composers Edition.
