I’ve just finished composing The Anti-Masker, a new work for Skipton Camerata as part of the Lockdown Diaries project. It’s fantastic to be involved in writing a piece based on text by Kamal Kaan. His powerful portrayal of a bombastic anti-masker is the basis of the piece for the same ensemble line up as Stravinsky’s epic The Soldier’s Tale.
The piece is being recorded later this month alongside 5 other new works also based on text by Kamal Kaan conducted by Ben Crick for release later this year! I can’t wait to share it.
