Programme Note
Drift was commissioned by Paul MacAlindin and the Glasgow Barons to explore the movement of water, reflect on Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Waters, and to look forward to Glasgow’s hosting of COP26.
In Drift I explore these themes through my own memories of my time living on the South Wales coast at St. Donat’s Bay. My relationship with water changed dramatically over those years from being terrified and scared to being in awe and reverence of the sea.
