Amyloid plaque and neurofibrillary tangles are key characteristics of Alzheimer’s disease. Plaque and Tangles doesn’t delve into the personal experience of living with Alzheimer’s disease. That perspective is not mine to tell. Instead, it reflects on the experience of witnessing someone you love undergo the changes and challenges brought on by Alzheimer’s. It is a reflection on the emotional journey faced by those who care for loved ones with Alzheimer’s and looks to capture the essence of their love and dedication.
This work is dedicated to all the caregivers who compassionately support and care for individuals with Alzheimer’s.
Plaque and Tangles was commissioned by the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and recorded by Timothy Lines, Rose Redgrave, and David Quigley for release on the Birmingham Record Company label.
