My Ave Maria for SATB choir premiered last month, performed by the Choir of St Stephen’s Church, Gloucester Road. Commissioned by Gregory Drott, the work explores Marian devotion drawing on a number of plainsong influences.
It was a privilege to hear it in such a historic London church; the Choir of St Stephen’s gave a breathtaking performance, with a huge special thank you to Gregory Drott, whose brilliant direction made this a real collaborative project.
