I’m so excited to share that my piece Plaque and Tangles is featured on the brand-new album Quiet Wild, released by the Birmingham Record Company and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. You can read more about the project here.
It’s such an honour to be part of a collection that aims to capture Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s unique musical identity. Having Plaque and Tangles alongside works by other brilliant PhD composers and graduates is a real privilege.
I loved hearing how the performers, Timothy Lines (clarinet), Rose Redgrave (viola) and David Quigley (piano), brought the piece to life. Their interpretation opened up new colours and ideas I hadn’t even imagined when writing it.
